The Family

I’d like to give you some insight into how I get to making the things I do…
‘The Family’ is a series of works, all small portraits in a wooden frame.
As a sculptor I have made many portraits so I am very focused on form. Every now and then I see two people that look alike, where one is white and one is brown. As our society usually turns this color difference into a whole system of weird things, this is an interesting thing. So from time to time I make a small portrait and I make a mold of it so I can make the same form several times and color them differently. The whole series obviously it is about that we are all connected.
